The President announced the following changes in the
Standing Committees :
Finance Committee—Mr. Vickers, vice Mr. Jones.
Judiciary Committee—Mr. Wells, Chairman, in place of
Mr. Maund.
Infernal Improvements—Mr. Vickers in place of Mr. Jones.
Invalid Deeds—Mr, Vickers in place of Mr. Jones.
Insolvent Laws—Mr. Lansdale in place of Mr. Harwood.
Colored Population—Mr. Eaton in place of Mr. Maund.
Corporations—Mr. Frazier in place of Mr. Carroll.
Education—Curtis Davis in place of Mr. Maund.
Federal Eolations—Mr. Ohr in place of Mr. Carroll, Mr.
Frazier in place of Mr. Ohr, Mr. Eaton in place of Mr.
Maund.
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries—Mr. Frazier in place
of Mr. Carroll.
Elections—Curtis Davis in place of Mr. Maund.
Mr. Ohr, from the Select committee, submitted the follow-
ing report:
To the Honorable
The Senate of Maryland :
The special committee to whom was referred the Message
of Ins Excellency, the Governor, would respectfully recom-
mend that it be referred, so much thereof as relates to the
State Finances and Bounty Bonds, to the committee on
Finance.
So much as relates to the Oyster Trade to the committee on
the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
So much as relates to Immigration to a Special committee
of five.
So much as relates to the Harbor of Baltimore to the com-
mittee on Internal Improvements.
So much as relates to the reorganization of the Militia to
the committee on Military Affairs.
So much as relates to the Slavery Laws to the committee on
Colored Population.
