1866.] OF THE SENATE. 149 Mr. Mackall submitted the following amendment, after the word "bitch" in line three; insert, "provided the bitch is not spayed;" Which was read and adopted. Mr. McMaster moved to strike out the enacting cause of the bill. Determined in the negative. Mr. McMaster moved to adjourn. Determined in the affirmative. The Senate adjourned. THURSDAY, February 1, 1866. Mr. Billingsley, of St. Mary's, from the Joint Committee to wait upon Admiral Porter, reported that they had dis- charged, that duty, and had been requested by the Admiral to say that he would visit the Senate Chamber to-morrow at 12 o'clock. Mr. Eaton presented a petition from citizens of Prince George's county, against the repeal of the Registry Law; Which was read and referrerd to the Committee on Elec- tions. Mr. McNeal presented a petition asking lor a, Mw making an additional Justice of the Peace for Talbot county; Which was read and referred to Messrs. McNeal, Davis, of Caroline, and Earle. Mr. Stephenson, of Harford, presented a petition of citi- zens of Harford county, asking the passage of a Room Law. Which was read and referred to the committee on Corpor- ations. Mr, Vickers presented the petition of 100 citizens of Kent county, in favor of the repeal of the Registry law; Which was read and referred to the committee on Elections. |
