. 77 Robert Disharoon, a witness produced for the claimant, being duly sworn, answers and says: 1st. A. Forty years; have been. a voter 19 years; reside in 7th election district, resided there during the past year. 2nd: A. I did apply; was notified of no charge; Mr. Bounds, one office officers of registration to whom I applied, said I could not take the oath and could not be registered; was confronted with no witnesses; they refused to administer the oath. I was ready to take it, so I told Mr. Bounds before the board of re- gistration. 3rd: A. I did not vote, did not offer, did not go to the election, because I saw the list of names, and that I was not registered as a voter; should have voted for J. R. Franklin. 4th : Waived as to this witness. Cross-Examination : 1st. That he has so far as he has been able. 2nd: A. That he did feel and express regret at the defeat be- cause of the fact that there were so many lives lost. J 3rd: A, That he did feel and express such gratification. Question. At what triumph ? Answer. Don't know of any particular triumph. 4th: A. That he has felt such regret and expressed it. The above has been read to me and is correct. ROBERT DISAROON.
