1866.] OF THE SENATE. 137 The Senate then proceeded to the consideration of the As- sesment bill; The question wag on the amendment of Mr. Eaton, to the amendment submited by Mr Billingslea, of Carroll; Which was determined in the negative. The amendment of Mr. Billingslea,, of Carroll, was then adopted; Mr. McMaster submitted the following amendment; Section 25 line 19 strike out the words, "and may likewise exclude entirely property which has been valued;" Which read and adopted. Mr. Ohr, submitted the following amendment: Section 25 inline 2 strike out the words "Appeal tax court" and insert "Board of Control and Review;" Section 25 in line 14 strike out "Appeal tax court" and insert "Board of Control and Review," Which was read and adopted. Mr. Eaton submitted the following amendment: Section 26, lines 2, 13 and 20 strikeout the words "Ap- peal tax court" and insert "Board of Control aud Review or Appeal tax court;" Which was read and adopted. Mr. Eaton submitted the following amendments: Section 27, line 2 after the word "Court" insert "and City Collector;" Section 27 line 10 after the word "Commissioners" insert "Appeal tax court and City Collector;" Which were read and adopted. Mr. Eaton submitted the following amendment: Section 28, lines 2,12 and 15 strike out "Appeal tax court" and insert "Board, of Control and Review;" Which was road and adopted. Mr. McMaster submitted the following amendment: Section 28, line 3 strikeout "day of March," and insert "first Monday in February;" Which was read and adopted. 15 |
