Mr. McMaster submitted the following amendment:
Strike out in section 29 all after the word "therefore" in
line seven;
Which was read and adopted.
On motion of Mr. Mr. McMaster,
Sections 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35 were stricken out.
Mr. Vickers submitted the following amendment:
Section 30. Be it enacted. That the right of appeal to the
next term of the Circuit court of the counties and to the Su-
perior court of the City of Baltimore, shall be allowed to any
person or corporation who may consider themselves aggrieved
by the judgment and decision of the said County Commissioners
or Board of Control; provided however, that no appeal shall
be allowed where the only question is to the correctness of the
amount of assessment or valuation; this section not to prevent
the State from the right of appeal;
Which was read and adopted.
Mr. Turner submitted the following amendments :
Line 3, section 37, after the word "court" insert "or Board
of Control and Review ;"
Line 6, section 38, after the word "the" insert "and each
member of the Board of Control and Review," in lieu of
the words "Appeal Tax Court;"
Which were read and adopted.
Mr. Billingsley, of St. Mary's, submitted the following
amendments :
Section 40, after word "taxes" in line 5, strike out "ce-
meteries;" strike out "except churches, church property, char-
itable, literary, benevolent and beneficiary institutions, and
all appurtenances thereto belonging;"
Which was read.
Mr. Ohr submitted the following amendment to the amend-
ment :
Line 4, section 35, amend by striking out after "valua-
tion" the words "and taxes;"
Which was read ;
The question upon its adoption was determined in the
affirmative.
The question was on the amendment as amended.
