10 NEW YORK, Aug. 13, 1865. Dear Sir:—I am thinking to emigrate to Maryland, hav- ing seen an advertisement in the New York Herald to the effect that you would send me a pamphlet containing infor- mation in regard to the resources and products of the State, and the best location to emigrate to.* ' Send me one of your pamphlets please, and I remain Yours, respectfully, TIMOTHY GALLAGER. COLE, Sir:--A number of the men employed in the factory in which I work having seen the advertisement of the resources of Maryland, and wishing to know more about the land, be so good as to forward a pamphlet to the address here given: Mr. John Curtis, 305 east Ninth street, New York city, and much oblige a number of workmen.
