NEGATIVE—Mr. Stephenson—1. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Trail, from the committee on Education, reported a bill to amend various sections of General Law, entitled, "Public Education; Which was read the first time. Mr. Turner, from the committee on Corporations, reported a bill" to establish the Maryland Industrial School for girls; Which was read the first time. 'Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, reported a bill to make valid the acts of the Commissioners of Vienna, in Dorchester county, and to authorize an election for five Commissioners of said town; Which was read the first time. Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations to which was referred the bill to repeal section 22, of chapter 140, of the Laws of 1865, to incorporate the Metropolitan Railroad company; Reported said bill "ought not to pass." On motion of Mr. Lansdale, The report was made the Order of the Day for Wednesday next, at 12 o'clock. The hour having arrived for considering the Order of the Day, On motion of Mr. Wells, It was postponed. Mr Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, reported a bill entitled, an Act to amend the Act of 1856, ch. 257, en- titled, an additional supplement to the act incorporating the Master and Wardens of Clinton Lodge, No. 83, of Free and Accepted Masons; |
