106 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 29,
Mr. Trail submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Journal of Friday's proceedings having
omitted a vote by yeas and nays on a motion by Mr. Vickers,
of Kent county, to concur in a message from the House, in-
viting the Senate to receive and hear a committee from a con-
vention lately held in Baltimore, it be competent for Sena-
tors who desire to do so, to record their votes on the Journal
of to-day, as given on that occasion;
Which was read and adopted.
And the yeas and nays were then taken as follow:

On the motion to concur in the message from the House on
Friday, January 26, the Senator from Allegany, in consid-
eration of the adoption of a motion for an afternoon session,
voted to concur in the said message.
Mr. Billingsley, of St. Mary's, presented the petition of Z.
T. Spaulding, for restoration to the right of suffrage;
Which was read and referred to the select committee upon
that subject.
Mr. Davis, of Washington, presented the petition of citi-
zens of Washington county, enquiring into the legality of
receiving tolls on the Baltimore and Frederick Turnpike;
Which was read and referred to the select committee upon
that subject.
Mr. Ohr submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Senate hold an evening session, at 7 1/2
o'clock P. M., from this date, and that the first two evening
sessions be devoted to private and local bills, for which pur-
pose the roll of the. Seriate shall be called, and each Senator
may call up one such bill in turn;
