1866. J OF THE SENATE. 105 MONDAY, January 29, 1860. The President laid before the Senate the following com- munication: ANNAPOLIS, January 29, 1866. Hon. C. C. Cox, Lieutenant Governor of Maryland: The Redemptorist Fathers respectfully invite you, and through you the honorable Senators of Maryland, to attend the lecture to be delivered by the Most Rev. Archbishop Spalding, of Baltimore, this (Monday) evening at half-past seven o'clock, at St. Mary's Church in Annapolis. Seats will be specially reserved for as many of the Senators as may indicate their acceptance of thls invitation; Which was read; and, On motion of Billingsley, of St. Mary's, The invitation was accepted. Mr. Billingslea, of Carroll, presented the petition of citi- zens of Harford county, prohibiting the sale of liquor within one mile of the post road, from Fallston to Magnolia; Which was read and referred to Messrs. Billingslea, of Car- roll, McNeal and Vickers. Mr. Tome moved to amend the Journal of Friday, by in- serting the yeas and nays on the message submitted by Mr. Vickers. Decided in the affirmative. Mr. Frazier moved to reconsider the vote; Determined in the negative by yeas and nays as follow:
