March the 15th. 1689/90 the Deposition of Thomas: Pool. Senior (saith) that when Teague Riggin sued
mr Henry Lynch, they came to agreemt: before tryall. and mr Lynch paid him two pounds of tobacco
more then his demand, whereupon mr Lynch said, now Teague ile sue you for my two pounds of
tobacco and further your Deponant sayeth not. Thomas. Pool.

March the 15th. 1689/90. The Deposition of Thomas. Pool: Senior (saith) being the Attorney of mr
Henry
Lynch. Sued Peter: Whaples in his suite for two hundred and odd pounds of Porke. due by Bill
of the said Pool had in Custody. Peter Whaples at Court came to me and promised paymt. if I would
withdraw the action debt and charges, whereupon I withdrew the action, being Attorney for Mr Henry
Lynch and further sayeth not. Thomas: Pool. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Matthew: Scarbrough late of this County was attached to answer unto Henry: Lynch in a Plea of Debt.
And whereupon the plt. by his Attorney Edward Jones. Comes and saith, that he the said Matthew.

the fourth day of August in the year of our Lord 1687 . then became indebted unto the plt. in the
Sum of fifteen hundred and fourty two pounds of Porke to be paid at Snow Hill landing unto the plt at
or upon the 10th: day of December next ensueing the date of a certain wrighting under the hand and seal
of the defendt. and here in Court produced, but the deft litle regarding his promise and assumption, but
fraudulently intending the plt to deceive in the sum of 1542 pounds of Porke, although often thereunto
required, but hath neglected to pay and still doth neglect whereupon the plt saith he is damnifyed and
hath
damage to the value and losse of 2500 pounds of porke, and thereupon brings his suite. pr Quer Edward:

Capt. David Browne in a plea of trespass on the Case ---- And the aforesd Capt. David Browne by his
Attorney Edward Jones saith, that the aforesd Edward: Harris, upon the 26th. day of November in the
year
of our Lord 1689. then the said Harris came to an account with the aforesd Capt. David Browne where
upon there was due to Capt. David: Browne 285. pounds of porke, and five barrels and a halfe of Indian
Corne and 150 pounds of tobacco which Sums as aforesd the deft did promise and assume to pay unto
the aforesd
Capt. David: Browne, but the deft litle regarding his promise and assumption but fraudulently intending
the
plt to deceive in the aforesd Sums of 385 pounds of porke , and five barrels and a halfe of Indian Corne
and 150 pounds of tobacco although often thereunto required but hath neglected to pay and still doth
neglect
whereupon the plt saith he is damnifyed and hath damage to the value and losse of two thousand
pounds of

Know all Men by these presents that I John: Barnett of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland Planter have
given
for ever, and their encrease to Anthony: Barnett and John: Barnett. both my sonns. one Cow one three years old
(heifer)
and two bulls to the sd Anthony: Barnett and John: Barnett, their Executors and Administrators or Assignes to
their
propper uses for ever and I the sd John: Barnett the sd Cattell given will warrant and forever defend as Witness
