John: Carey by Recognizance before mr. Stephen Luffe upon Complaint of James Ingram of this County, Planter and whereas the said Carey, did at Severall unseasonable hours frequent the house of the said Ingram and being Suspected by the said Ingram that he did wickedly and Sinfully Intice and delude the said Ingrams Wife to folly and Sinfull Courses did forewarn the sd Carey from Coming either to his house or accompanying with his Wife but the said Carey most insolently and audaciously did abuse and vilify the said Ingram * and raised emnity betwixt Ingrams Wife and him selfe and about the 27th. of September last past did secretly betray and entice the said Ingrams Wife and her carry away out of the province without the said Ingrams consent or knowledge whereby the said Ingram was necessitated to expend his money and desert his house in quest of his Wife to his great loss & damage, their Maties.
