Maryland Att a County Court held by their Majesties Justices of the Peace
Somerset Ss there unto Authorized and appointed this eleaventh day of March
in the first year of their Royall Maties. Reign William and Mary by ye
Grace of God Over England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King & Queen

The Coroners and Constable being called. the Sheriffe of the County retourns his List of pan(ell)
of their Majesties grand Enquest for the body of this County of Somerset As he being
called as followeth: Richard Chambers: John: Parsons: John: Holland. Isaac:Noble
Stephen Costin. Robert: Smith. Alexander: Maddux. Thomas: Williams. ffrancis: Martin.

Stephen: Cannon. Edward: ffowler. John: Jones. Samuel: Jones. all being sworne upon ye. holy
Evangelysts. having their instructions, and charge Read according to Act of Assembly. for a time

Nicholas: Tyler. being Sumoned to this Court as Constable for Wiccocomocoe
hundred, the sd Tyler appears the Court offers to him the oath of a Constable
which he refuses, pretending his conscience would not Suffer him to Sware. the
Court
Orders him to gett another in his Room and place.

The Deposition of Robert: Barrows. aged 28: years or their abouts who deposeth and says that on
ye
First day of ffebruary in the morning rideing along the road, saw Matthew Jones and Richard
Warren
a litle to the southward of Wm: Wouldhaves Bridge in the Road and their the said Matthew Jones
did pull
the said Warren to the ground giveing him divers blows on the face, much blood following his
blows
and they heard him the sd Matthew Jones ask the sd Richard Warren, what made him Search their house
&
every Room in it or words to that purpose, and further the said deponent deposeth not to the truth
of
all which he hath hereunto subscribed his name the day above mentioned. Robert Barrow
Memorandum that the day and yeare abovesd came Robert Barrow and did make
Oath to ye
truth of the above written as Wittness my hand. James: Round
