This Indenture made the Two and twentieth day of March in the year of or: Lord
God according to the Computacon of the Church of England one Thousand Six hundred
Eighty and nine Betweene Sampson Waters of Boston in New England Mariner on the one part
And Jo Parkinson of the Bridge towne in Barbadoes Marchant on the othr: part Witneseeth
That whereas Sampson Waters party to these presents Did lately for and in Consideration of
the Summe of one hundred pounds of good & Lawfull money of England paid purchase of
Capta: Isaac ffoxcraft of occohannock in the County of Northampton in Virga: gent & Bridget
his wife Severall Tracts or parcells of lands to the quantity of one Thousand Seaven hundred
& ffifty acres more or Less as by the Severall pattents will more plaine appeare which said
Tracts or parsells of land are Scituate Lieing and being in the County of Somersett in the
Province of Maryland near a river Called or knowne by the name of Nanticoke butted and
bounded as by the Said Pattents remayning upon record in the Land office at St: Maries
and the Conveyance made betweene the Said Capta: Isaac ffoxcroft & Bridget his wife
on the one part and Sampson Waters party to these presents on the other part bearing
date the 20th: day of March 1688 acknowledged acknowledged according to law & remaining
upon record in y office in Somr:set County in the Province of Maryland aforesaid doth & will
more plainely and at Lardge appeare relacon being thereunto had To have and to hold
the aforesaid Tracts or parcells of land to him the said Sampson Waters his heires & assignes
for ever & the revercon & revercons remainder & remainders thereof together with all houses
Edifices buildings yards orchards Gardens & priviledges thereunto belonging or in any wise
appertaining And also the Said Capta: Isaac ffoxcroft & Bridget his wife above named (did)
in the above mentioned Conveyance for the Consideracon of the hundred pounds above
Specified bargaine Sell make over & deliver unto the Said Sampson Waters all their Stock
Cattle and hoggs wch they had or Coulld make any rightfull Claime to running & being in (the said)
County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland aforesaid marked with their proper marke vizt
right ear Cropt & underbitted the left ear Slitt & underbitted and all horses & Mares runing in the (said)
County as well branded as unbranded to wch: they the said Capta: Isaac ffoxcroft & Bridgett his (wife)
or either Coulld or may lay any just Claime unto To have & to hold the said Cattle hoggs horsses (&)
Mares to him the said Sampson Waters his executors & assignes with theire future increase for (Ever)
as by the Said Deed remayning upon record as aforesaid will more plainely and at Lardge appeard
Now this Indenture further witnesseth that the said Sampson Waters for and in Consideracon of the
Summe of ffifty & five pounds of good and Lawfull money of England to him in hand paid at or
before the ensealing & delivery hereof by the said John Parkinson parties to these prests: the receipt

he doth hereby acknowledge and himselfe therewith fully Satisfied Contented and paid & of every part
& parcell thereof Doe by these presents acquitt & dischardge him the said John Parkinson his heires
executors
& administrators as also for divers other good Causes & Consideracons him the said Sampson Waters
there(unto)
moving hath given grannted bargained Sold assigned assigned and Sett over and by these presents
doth give grannt bargaine Sell assigne & Sett over unto him the said John Parkinson the full moyety or
halfe
of the aforesaid purchased tracts or parcells of Land Conteyning one Thousand Seaven hundred & fifty
acres
more or less with the Moyety or halfe of all houses Edifices buildings yards orchards gardens backsides
(and)
premises thereunto belonging and Every part & parcell thereof with all & Singular the appurtenances
as also the full Moyety or halfe of all Such hoggs Cattle horses and Mares wch: are runing on the said
(Land)
or in the said County of Somerset aforesaid unto wch: the said Sampson Waters Can any waies lay a(ny
just)
Claime unto by vertue of the Deed above mentioned made to him the Said Sampson Waters by (the said)
Isaac ffoxcroft and Bridgett his wife the which Said Land & Stock now is in the Custody or Possession of
(him)
the Said Sampson Waters or his assignes, And the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders ---
Rents & yearly proffitts whatsoever of all & Singular the Said pr:misses & every part & pcell (thereof)
with y appurtenances To have and to hold the Said Moyety or halfe of the Said one thousand
Seaven hundred & fifty acres of Land with all houses Edifices buildings yards orchards ga(rdens)
& backsides & other y premises with their & every of theire appurtenances before by these presents bargained ( &
Sold)
or meant mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained & Sold Together with the moyety (or)

halfe of the above mentioned Stock of Cattle Hoggs horses & mares with theire (future increase)
to him (the said) John Parkinson his heires & assignes --- y---?
