Lawrence Crawford Plt. Plt. Appears pr his Attorney. Likewise ye. Defdt.
agt. makes his personall appearance who should
William: Morris Defdt. have appeared in August Court last. The Plt
---------------------------------- produces this following Bill which was in Crt. read
This Bindeth me William Morris of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland
my Heirs. Execcutors, Admrs or Assigns to pay or cause to be paid unto Laurence /
Crawford of Northampton County in Virginia his Heirs, Execcutors Adms or Assigns
the full and just sum of Twenty Six shilllings sterling money or Tobacco or Porke
at prise current to the choyse and likeing of the said Crawford. which he will have
not withstanding any Law to the Contrary, to be paid upon all demands at some
convenient
place upon Pocomoke River (according to Law) as witness my hand and Seale this 24th

Signed sealed and delivered in presence of
John: Luke. Margaret. Thomlinson. her mark. -----------------------------------------------------------

The foresaid Bill being read. The Court Orders the Defendant to pay to ye said
Crawford twenty Six shillings sterling with Cost of suite. -------------------------

agt. Revell: The Sheriffe was Ordered to have ye Defdt at
Randall: RRavall. Dfdt. August Court Last past. - - - - - - - - -

Joseph Thaxster Plt. The Defendet in Court confesseth to
agt. be indebted to ye Plt. 130lb. of Porke
William: Morris. Dfdt Whereupon the Court grants ordr. for ye same

Thomas: Jones. Plt. The Plt. and Defdt. both appearing in Court
agt. Where the Plt. produces a Bill for 800lb. of Porke
William: Morris Dfdt. under ye hand and seale of ye Defendt. wch Defdt
ownes to be his Act and deed. for wch ye Court Orders
I underwritten William: Morris of Dividing Creek in Somerset County Planter
for good and valuable Consideration recd doe bind me my Heirs Execcutrs & Admrs
to pay unto Thomas: Jones or his Order Eight hundred pounds of good Salt -
Porke to be paid convenient upon demand witness my hand and Seale this 19th
day of Novembr. 1688. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
