Pray:
Our Father, we are thankful for this day
and its opportunities. We pray that each
of us might experience Thy presence in a
very special way this hour and we pray,
Lord, that Thou will inspire us to find the
way in creating the conditions necessary in
the building of a better state, better nation, |
better world. Bless us, we pray, with Thy
Wisdom so that we will know how to make
the decisions that are necessary. Make us
servants of Thine that we might be most
useful in everything we attempt for each
other and our fellow men. Help us in these
days to translate our dreams into deeds
that will make Maryland better and con-
tinue to show us how to relate everything
that transpires and happens to the bringing
of Thy kingdom here on this earth. So, we
pray, Father, that Thou will equip each of
these men and women delegates for the
challenges of this hour. Strengthen them
for the decisions that are inevitable. May
they not complain about their lot but help
them and help us all to meet the demands
with willing minds, brave hearts, and ready
hands. So much is to be done; Lord, show
us how. So many goals are before us.
Teach us the way to their accomplishment.
Through it all, may we remain constant
and steadfast in the convictions that come
through the revelations of Thy Spirit. For
we ask it in Jesus' name and for His sake.
Amen.
