Committee Recommendation SF-5. A report
on Committee Recommendation SF-5.
THE PRESIDENT: The report has pre-
viously been referred to the Committee on
Style, Drafting and Arrangement. Are
there any other motions or resolutions?
(There was no response.)
Are there any announcements by com-
mittee chairmen? Delegate Penniman.
DELEGATE PENNIMAN: Mr. Chair-
man, the Committee on Style will meet this
evening at 8:00 P.M.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
announcements by committee chairmen?
(There was no response.)
Delegate Ulrich.
DELEGATE ULRICH: Mr. President, I
would like the Convention to welcome Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Gosnell, two teachers
from Andover High School in Linthicum
Heights.
THE PRESIDENT: Delighted to have
them. Delegate Weidemeyer.
DELEGATE WEIDEMEYER: Mr. Pres-
ident, members of the Convention, in a
little humorous vein I asked Delegate White
today to define an amendment. He refused.
I also asked Delegate Jett. He said he
would not use the language necessary in
these halls and I thought maybe the Presi-
dent might have had just as much, if not
more, experience and could give me a defi-
nition tomorrow.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
announcements?
(There was no response.)
Any delegates present now not present at
roll call this afternoon may indicate their
presence on supplemental roll call.
(Whereupon a roll call vote was taken.)
THE PRESIDENT: The Clerk will re-
cord the supplemental roll call.
The Chair recognizes Delegate Powers.
DELEGATE POWERS: Mr. President,
I move we adjourn until 10:00 A.M. tomor-
row morning.
THE PRESIDENT: All those in favor,

journed at 6:15 P.M., to reconvene at 1 0:00
A.M. on Thursday, December S, IPttT.)

The invocation this morning will be

REVEREND NEWBOLD: Let us pray.
Eternal God, our Heavenly Father, we
thank Thee for those whom Thou hast
called to be Members of this Convention,
for those individuals who have affirmatively
responded to Thy call, indicating their will-
ingness to give generously of their time
and liberally of their talents.
We pray that Thy Holy Spirit may at-
tend them not only in today's session but in
the remaining sessions so that they may
focus upon the common good; so that they
may disagree without becoming disagree-
able; so that the emphasis may be on peo-
ple and not politics; so that there may be a
sense of the guidance of Thy Holy Spirit.
We pray that what is said and done
during this day's session particularly may
be said and done to Thy honor and to Thy
glory.
In the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

I move the calendar be amended so as to
