It is larger than that had been originally
contemplated because we felt it highly desirable that the
Committee be to the greatest possible extent representative
of the entire State. I had a great many requests for
appointment to the Committee; in order to get the kind of
representation we thought desirable, it was necessary to
disappoint many of you in your request. for appointment
to this Committee.
I should say that in the instance where a
delegate was already a member of two committees, or was
an officer of the Convention or any of the committees, he
was not appointed on the Committee on Public Information.
I will ask the Clerk to read the names of the
members of the Committee.
MR. QUILLEN: The Committee on Public Informa-
tion: Chairman, William B. Dulany; Delegates Murray
Abramson, Harry Bard, Perry E. Darby, Werner Fornos,
William Gilchrist, John R. Hargrove, E. Ralph Hostetter,
James P. Gleason, Juanita Jackson Mitchell, J. Frank Raley,
Jr., Frank C. Robey, Jr., Marvin H. Smith, Stanley Sollins
and Ronald Willoner. |
