attention to the fact that the hearing scheduled for 7 p.m.
this evening has been cancelled. Tomorrow morning the
Committee will hear at 9 a.m. from Senator Pine of Balti-
more County; at 10 a.m., the subject of Metropolitanism an
Regional Government, as well as Intergovernmental Cooper-
ation will be the subject of hearings, which will have as
witnesses Mr, James W. Rouse, Professor F. Victor Jones,
Mr. Henry Bain.
Delegate proposals which have been submitted
or rather have been assigned to the Local Government Com-
mittee, will be set for hearing the week of October 9. We
are sending out today notices of the times to all interested
delegates, and I will announce on the floor again the
specific proposals so that other interested delegates
may attend those hearings if they so desire.

DELEGATE MORGAN: Mr. President, the Committee
on the Executive Branch will meet this afternoon right
after the conclusion of this session to hear from the
President of the State Board of Education, Mr. Freund.
