honor and privilege of hearing from Senator Joseph Tydings;
and at 11 a.m., from Chief Judge Brune, formerly of the
Court of Appeals of Maryland.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Kiefer?
DELEGATE KIEFER: Mr. President, the Committee
on Personal Rights and The Preamble will continue its
hearings this afternoon and tomorrow on the subject of due
process and equal protection and rights of the poor.
In the afternoon a number of delegates who have
submitted proposals, and I think there are some twenty-
three at the last count that are directly or even remotely
concerned with this area, have been invited to come and
express their views.
If they will come promptly, we will put them on
first so they can get back to committee assignments. We
will meet fifteen minutes after this Convention adjourns
for today.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Moser?
DELEGATE MOSER: Mr. President, the Committee
on Local Government will go back into session fifteen
minutes after the close of this session. 1 again call |
