MR. QUILLEN: Delegate Proposal No. 271, by

Delegate Finch, A proposal that the Constitution provide

5

that the State shall pay for the educational training in

6

any private or parochial school approved by the Maryland

7

Department of Education to the same degree that the State

8

finances public education.

THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Proposal No. 271 is

10

referred to the Committee on General Provisions.

Delegate Proposal No. 272. The Clerk will

12

read the proposal.

MR. QUILLEN: Delegate Proposal No. 272, by

14

Delegate Finch, A proposal that the Constitution provide

15

that upon the conviction and sentencing of a defendant

16

to more than sixty (60) days in a correctional institution

17

that such sentence shall be referred and reviewed by a

18

correctional treatment and the duration thereof, in order

19

to insure equal justice to all in the area of sentencing

20

for commission of crimes.

THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Proposal No. 272 is
