delegates, that two long days in a row such as we had
yesterday aren't really desirable.
For that reason we will not have a session this
evening. I do urge all delegates who have changed their
plans and will be staying down this evening to attend the
committee meetings.
There is a very important meeting, I think, of
the Committee on Style and there are other important
committee meetings, discussing the schedule of legislative
and the schedule of transitory provisions.
These are becoming more and more urgent, and I
don't think any of you would lack for matters to occupy
your attention during the long winter evening.
The Secretary is keeping in touch with the
state police, and will advise me by mid-afternoon of
the anticipated condition of the roads. If the present
indications continue, that the snow will be heavy and not
i change to rain, I think the suggestion will be made that
! we adjourn perhaps at 5:00 so that the delegates who will
be riding the roads can get on the road and home before
a hard freeze sets in. |
