THE PRESIDENT: ' Minority Report R&P-1(B) will be
distributed.
Consideration has been given during the luncheon
recess to suggestions from some delegates that inasmuch
as many of you have made arrangements to stay down this
evening, though normally you would return to your homes,
that we have an evening session.
There has also been an inquiry -- I don't say a
suggestion ~- from one or two delegates as to whether we
would recess earlier, adjourn earlier this afternoon,
because of the conditions of the roads.
After discussing the matter, we thought it
inadvisable to have an evening session this evening, for
several reasons: One, the delegates have not planned on
it, and this could seriously inconvenience delegates who
have no such plans, are are not for one reason or another
i able to stay down this evening; and secondly, some com-
mittee meetings have been scheduled, some of which are
very, very important; and thirdly, the feeling on the part
of the officers, the reason I think shared by most of the
