THE PRESIDENT: Technically I think probably

2

the motion to approve the resolution ought to be before

3

you first, but I don't think there is any objection

4

and the Chair will rule that in the absence of objection,

5

any objection, the stylistic amendment just suggested

6

by the committee will be made. Is there any objection

7

at all?

THE PRESIDENT: Hearing none, the resolution

9

is amended so as to substitute for the word resolution

10

wherever it appears in the body of the proposal, the

11

word "regulation."

DELEGATE SCANLAN: The second proposed committee

13

amendment is substantive. It is the one to which I

14

adverted earlier, namely, the suggestion of Delegate

15

Morgan that in the last line of Page 4, Section 7, of

16

the proposed regulation, dealing with contingent compen-

17

sation, the last line thereof, now reading "contingent

18

upon such adoption or defeat," be eliminated, and

19

that there be substituted for the language reading

20

"that is determined" --
