DELEGATE BOYER: Mr. President, it is difficult
to top Delegate Snerbow's historic first announcement, but
1 we would like to take the opportunity to inform the ^ouse
that theGeneral Provisions Committee has a historic first
l to announce, that we have met and selected an elected as
our vice-chairman, Delegate Charles Wheatley.
The General Provisions Committee will meet
this afternoon, ten minutes after we adjourn here, and hear
from Monsignor Neumann, and possibly from some labor
^
representatives as to the constitutional guarantees
that should be in the educational part of the constitution.
Tomorrow morning we will meet again at ten
o'clock and at that time we will hear from representatives
of the Maryland State Teachers Association, perhaps the
Baltimore Teachers Union and from some private school
1 representatives.
As you can see, we are trying to cover all
phases of constitutional recognition of education.
Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: Any further announcements by
committee chairmen? Delegate Morgan? |
