THE PRESIDENT: Is there a second?
DELEGATE JAMES: Second.
THE PRESIDENT: Is there any discussion? Are
you ready for the question? All those in favor of adopt-
ing Rule 20(a) as proposed by the Committee, signify by
saying Aye; contrary, No. The Ayes seem to have it. The
Ayes have it. It is so ordered.
DELEGATE SCANLAN: I would like now to move the
adoption of an amendment to Rule 20, which will change the
first sentence of that rule so as to make it perfectly
clear that the alphabetical seating arrangement does not
apply to the officers, the delegates who have been elected
officers of this Convention.
THE PRESIDENT: You said Rule 20; do you mean
21?
DELEGATE SCANLAN: I misspoke myself; Rule 21.
THE PRESIDENT: Is there a second?
DELEGATE BEALL: Second.
THE PRESIDENT: Any discussion? Are you ready
for the question? All those in favor, signify by saying
Aye; contrary, No. The Ayes have it. It is so ordered.
