difficulty is the light was not lit. It will be recorded.
We will check the record, and if it is not, we will
properly record it.
Does any delegate desire to change his vote?
If not, the Clerk will record the vote.
The motion is carried, 125 to 111, and the motion
to table is carried. I recognize Delegate Scanlan,
Chairman of the Committee.
DELEGATE SCANLAN: As I indicated, Mr. Chairman,
the amendment to Rule 20 is not necessary. It is correct
as it now stands. We would like unanimous permission to
withdraw that proposal.
THE PRESIDENT: Is there any objection to the
withdrawal by the Committee of its recommendation with
respect to the amendment of Rule 20? There being no
objection, it may be considered as withdrawn.
DELEGATE SCANLAN: I now move the adoption of
new Rule 20(a) as set forth on Page 2 of the Committee's
first report of September 12, 1967. Briefly, it is the
rule dealing with the limitation of fifteen minutes. I
move the adoption of that. |
