reported to our Legislative Branch, and it is quite
obvious to our Committee that there are numerous areas
where we share joint interests with other committees of
the Constitutional Convention, even though the specific
subject matter may have been referred to another commit-
tee. Consequently, we have taken the liberty today
of appointing a liaison representative from the Legis-
lative Branch Committee to all the other substantive
committees of this Constitutional Convention, with the
hope that the committee chairmen will do likewise, and
that to this particular end, we are hopeful that we can
work together in certain areas of, mutual interest to
eliminate the possibility of double hearings, so that
when we have something of common interest with another
committee which will keep the difficulties of travel down
as far as waits are concerned; so with the permission of
the Chair, which hopefully we have received, we have made
these appointments of members of our Committee to work
directly with the chairmen of the other substantive com-
mittees, and we look forward to perhaps similar activity
on the part of the substantive committees as well as with |
