These resolutions to be of no effect, unless the said Robert Long shall
notify to the said
sheriff that he will no longer support and maintain the said negro at the
price heretofore allowed
to said Long for that purpose.

The clerk of the house of delegates returns a bill,

Ordered that the said bill be engrossed.
The resolution respecting the laws of this state compiling
by William Kilty was read the second

The resolution in favour of Darby McNamara was read
the second time by especial order and
dissented from.
The resolution in favour of the representatives of Elizabeth
Atkinson was read the second
time by especial order and assented to.
The bill, entitled, An act to authorise a sale of
the real estate of the late John Rogers, id approved
of by the chancellor, was read the second time by especial order and will
not pass.
The bill, entitled, An act to lay out, alter and confirm,
certain roads in Allegany county, was
read the second time by especial order and will pass.
The bill, entitled, An act to repeal an act, entitled,
An act to prevent the going at large of
geese and swine in the town of Havre-de-Grace, in Harford county, passed
at November session,
seventeen hundred and ninety-eight, was read the second time by especial
order and will not pass.
The bill, entitled, An act to change the name of Clement
Holliday Waring to the name of
Clement Holliday, was read the second time by especial order and will
pass.
The bill, entitled, An act to authorise the register
of the land-office to correct the patent
therein mentioned, was read the second time by especial order and will
not pass.
The resolution in favour of Richard J. Orme was read
the second time by especial order and
assented to.
The resolution respecting negro Daniel was read the
second time by especial order, assented to,
and, with the resolution in favour of Arthur Thompson and wife, and the
four resolutions and
five bills next before mentioned, sent to the house of delegates by
the clerk.
The senate adjourns until to-morrow morning 10 o'clock.

THE senate met. Present the same members as
on yesterday. The proceedings of yesterday
were read.
The clerk of the house of delegates delivers to the
