By the HOUSE of DELEGATES, January 2, 1800. of Queen-Anne's county, all the interest, (excepting six per cent.) which stands charged against the said Samuel Turbutt Wright on said treasurer's books, and that the said treasurer credit the existing accounts against said Wright with all the interest over and above the six per cent. which said Wright has heretofore paid to the said treasurer; and that all proceeds on judgments already obtained, or may hereafter be obtained, by the state of Maryland against said Wright, be suspended until the first day of June, eighteen hundred and one. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. shore such sum, in addition to his fees for the present year, as shall, in the whole, amount to the sum of £. 300; and the examiner-general shall lay before the next session of assembly the amount of fees by him received in thus year, on oath. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. debtors of this state, passed at November session, seventeen hundred and ninety, after the first year, is inadequate to the services required of him; RESOLVED, That the said trustee shall be entitled to receive, as an additional compensation for his services for the present year, the sum of two hundred dollars. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. or his order, the sum of two pounds four shillings and one penny current money, it being a balance due the said Chocke on the books of the treasury, with interest thereon from the twenty-first day of September, seventeen hundred and eighty-five. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. Maryland, by inserting the address of president George Washington to the people of the United States, bearing date the seventeenth day of September, seventeen hundred and ninety-six. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. And also the following messages: WE have discovered other evidence touching the claim of Darby McNamara, and we trust, on view of it, you will be induced to reconsider the resolution in his favour. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. WE have assented to your two first amendments to the bill, entitled, An act to aid and revive the proceedings of the court of appeals, but the third amendment we have dissented from, as operating to the prejudice of the appellants after they have secured the debtor, by giving additional security at the time of prosecuting the appeal or writ of error; if this security is not adequate, we could with some mode devised to render it so. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. WE have so far completed the business before us to afford well grounded hopes that the session can be brought to a close to-morrow evening; we hope it will be agreeable to you to rise at that time. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. Which said bills, resolutions and messages, were severally read, and the bills and resolutions ordered to lie on the table. The clerk of the house of delegates delivers to the clerk of the senate the following resolution: appropriations that arose due on the first day of November last, the journal of accounts of the present session, and the civil list and annual expences of government, except the journal of accounts for eighteen hundred; and he is hereby directed to pay all money appropriations of this session, subject to the above appropriations. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. Which was read and ordered to lie on the table. The resolution respecting the address of president George Washington was read the second time by especial order and assented to. The bill, entitled, An act relating to certain public roads in Anne-Arundel county, was read the second time by especial order and will pass with the proposed amendments. Amendments proposed. Strike out the words " Charles Weters, Francis Cromwell," in the 15th line of the 1st page. In the last line of the same page strike out the word "three" and insert |
