And the bill to lay out and open a road in Cæcil county from Archibald Dysart's towards Hugh

    On the second reading of the bill to appoint an agent for the year one thousand eight hundred,

So it was determined in the negative.
    On progression in reading the said bill, the question was put, That the following proviso be received
as an amendment to the said bill?  " Provided, That the said agent shall not be entitled to
any commission upon the monies arising from fines, forfeitures, amerciaments, ordinary, retailers,
marriage, hawkers and pedlers licences, unless in cases where the same shall not be paid by the
sheriffs and clerks respectively to the treasurer within one month after the time prescribed by
law, and unless the said agent shall thereafter receive the same from the said officers respectively,
and the same shall pay to the said treasurer."  Resolved in the affirmative.
    On motion, the question was put, That the further consideration of the said bill be postponed
until the next session of assembly?  The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

be received as an amendment to the said bill?  " And be it enacted, That hereafter it shall be the
duty of the agent, and the treasurers of the eastern and western shores respectively, to receive,
as well the fifteen per cent. interest, if any shall have accrued, as all other the arrearages that
are now or may hereafter become due from fines, forfeitures and amerciaments, ordinary, retailers,
marriage, hawkers and pedlers licences, and the fifteen per cent. so collected shall be
the only fund from which the agent shall draw his commission on the same."  The yeas and nays
