    Mr. Buchanan, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to provide
for the administration of justice in cases of crimes and misdemeanours in the city and county
of Baltimore; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    The clerk of the senate delivers the bill for the relief of Thomas Hewitt, of Prince-George's
county, the bill for the relief of James Brown and William Thompson, of Charles county, Frederick
Koones, of Prince-George's county, and John Kelly, of Montgomery county, severally endorsed;
" By the senate, December 13, 1799:  Read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
                                                " By order,                                  A.  VAN-HORN, clk.
" By the senate, December 16, 1799:  Read the second time and will pass.
                                                " By order,                                  A.  VAN-HORN, clk."
The bill respecting the poor-house of Baltimore county, the bill to authorise and empower the
levy court of Anne-Arundel county to assess and levy annually a sum of money for the purpose
