Mr. Quynn, from the committee, brings in and delivers
to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act
to regulate public ferries; which was read the first time and ordered to
lie on the table.
The report on the petition of William Willcoxen was
read the second time, concurred with,
and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto. ORDERED, That
the committee appointed
on the said petition prepare and bring in the same.
Mr. McComas, from the committee, brings in and delivers
to the speaker a bill, entitled, An
act for the relief of Robert Gover, of Harford county; which was read the
first time and ordered
to lie on the table.
Mr. Barber has leave of absence for a few days.
A petition from Joseph Bouze, of Worcester county, an
alien, praying the state to relinquish
her right to certain real property, was preferred, read, and referred to
Mr. Corbin, Mr. Gunby
and Mr. Purnell, to consider and report thereon.
Mr. McPherson, from the committee, brings in and delivers
to the speaker the following report:
THE committee to whom was referred the agent's report,
have considered the same with
attention, and examined the respective items with the credits in the account
of the treasurer,
as stated by the committee of claims, and after a full examination of the
subject, with the accompanying
vouchers, they report, that the statement of the agent is true and correct.
As it has been usual for several years past for this
committee to report the actual and accruing
funds of the state, they here subjoin such a statement, shewing, at one
view, the actual existing
funds, the contingent or annual revenue, and the appropriations on it,
including the standing expences
of the ensuing year.
