bribery, etc.,
of voters.

for the selection of one or more candidates for public office, to
be voted for by the people of said county, or for selecting
delegates to any convention of such party, any person who,
by force, threat, intimidation, bribery or reward, or promise
of any article of value, shall induce or endeavor to induce any
person to vote or abstain from voting for any delegate or
candidate at said election or meeting, or any person who
shall counsel or assist in or direct such intimidation, bribery,
reward, or offer of reward, shall on conviction thereof be

imprisonment in jail for not more than sixty days, or by a
fine of not more than two hundred dollars, or by both fine
and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from

CHAPTER 615.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Institute of Mission
Helpers of Baltimore City, a corporation heretofore formed
under the General Laws of this State, and to regulate the
mode of election of officers and members of the said corpo-
ration.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the surviving incorporators of the Institute of
Mission Helpers of Baltimore City, a corporation heretofore
formed under and by virtue of the General Laws of this State
authorizing the formation of corporations, or so many of the

said surviving incorporators as may be able and see fit to
attend are hereby authorized and empowered to meet at such
time and place within the city of Baltimore as may be selected
for the purpose by the president or acting president of the
said corporation within one calendar month after the approval
of this Act, at least five days notice of the time and place of
such meeting being given by the president or acting president
by letter or postal card, mailed to the address of each of the
said surviving incorporators whose address may be known to
the said president or acting president, and at such meeting to
elect to membership in such corporation such persons as they
may think suitable and as may desire to be associated in the
work of the said corporation, and to receive the resignations
of any present members of the said corporation who may desire
to tender the same, and to elect a president of the said corpo-
ration, who shall serve for one year, and six directors thereo
