whereof two shall serve for one year, two for two years and
two for three years, the said seven persons to constitute the
Board of Dirctors of the said corporation, the said president
being a director and the president of the board ex-officio.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That annually upon the
anniversary of the date of such first meeting, or upon such
other day as may be fixed by the by-laws of the said corpora-
tion, the members thereof shall meet at such time and place
and upon such notice as shall be provided by the said by-laws,
and shall elect at such annual meetings new members of the
said corporation, and receive the resignation of any members
thereof who may desire to withdraw from its work, and de-
clare the existence of any vacancies which may have occurred
in their number in accordance with the provisions of such by-
laws, and elect two directors to serve for three years and a
president to serve for one year in the place and stead, res-
pectively, of the president and directors whose term shall
then expire, the board of directors having power to fill all
vacancies which may occur in its own number until the next
ensuing such annual meeting, and all officers of the said cor-
poration shall retain their several positions until the election
of their respective successors.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said corpora-
tion when thus reorganized shall and it hereby is authorized
and empowered to engage in educational, moral, scientific,
social, religious and charitable work without regard to the
race, color, nationality or creed of the persons who may be
the beneficiaries thereof; and to acquire, hold, encumber and
alien property, real, personal or mixed, including all prop-
erty to which the said mission helpers of Baltimore City has
now a legal and equitable title, such title being hereby de-
clared to vest in the said corporation when so as aforesaid

of time, and to hold, possess, own and enjoy all the franchises
acquired by it by virtue of its original certificate of incor-
poration, or conferred upon it by this Act or appropriate to
the powers it is hereby authorized to exercise.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the General As-
sembly may at any time repeal or amend this Act, or any part
thereof.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
