126. It shall be unlawful for any person to barter or sell
any cider or medicated bitters producing intoxication, or any
other intoxicating liquors within the limits of said election
district of Talbot County; provided, that nothing here incon-
tained shall be construed to prevent the compounding or sale
of spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors or cider by a

regular pharmacist or druggist having a license for such
business, upon a written bona fide prescription of a regular
practicing physician, whose name in full shall be signed to
such prescription, with the date and the name of the person
for whom such prescription is intended, and every such pre-
scription shall be filed and kept for at least one year by such
pharmacist or druggist, subject to the inspection of the proper

legal officers, and such prescription shall serve for only one
purchase, and shall not be divided. No physician shall make
or sign any such prescription unless the same shall be requisite
and necessary, and such liquor required as a medicine. Any

be fined not less than fifty nor more than three hundred dol-
lars, and be imprisoned in the House of Correction for not

vent the sale of pure and unadulterated cider made in Talbot
County from apples and pears grown in said county by the
makers thereof, or the agent of such makers duly authorized
in writing.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
prevent the prosecution of any person who may have been
indicted, presented or committed for any alleged violation of
said section before the passage of this Act.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 21, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot County," sub-title
"Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks," to be designated as
Section 127 A.
