terrapins, or to haul a seine, or set a fish-net in any of
the inlets or tributaries of the Potomac river, lying in Charles
County, nor within five hundred yards of the beach on the
Potomac River, between Bryan's Point, in Charles County,
and Cheseldine's Island, in St. Mary's County, nor in the

Proviso.

Wicomico river; provided, that persons owning or occu-
pying lands on the Wicomico river, or on the Potomac river,
or any tributaries thereof in Charles County shall have the
right to rent or otherwise grant to non-residents of the county
the privilege of fishing on their shores or within the pro-
hibited line on their water-front; provided further, that any
landowner desiring or intending to rent or grant the privilege
to fish on his water-front shall ascertain and distinctly mark
the line dividing his land and water-front from that of the
adjoining landowner, and the manner of marking said divid-
ing line shall be by fixing a substantial stake or buoy immedi-
ately on his dividing line five hundred yards from the beach,
and another in the same line half-way between the beach and
the outer stake or buoy; and when the water-front is on a
creek, the centre of the creek shall be marked in a similar
manner to prevent an infringement on the rights of persons
owning the opposite shore.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 584.

AN ACT to repeal Section one hundred and twenty-six of
Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot
County," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," as
amended by Chapter five hundred and eighty of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the Janu-
ary Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section one hundred and twenty-six of Article 21
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot County,"
sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks," as amended by
Chapter five hundred and eight of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session, eight-
een hundred and ninety-eight, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
