SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section fifty-nine of Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Frederick County," sub-title "Birds
and Game," as enacted by Chapter three hundred and nine of
the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:

59. It shall not be lawful for any person to shoot or trap
gray or fox squirrels between the first day of November and
the fifteenth day of June in each and every year, and if any
person shall be found guilty by any justice of the peace of
said county he shall be adjudged to pay a fine of not more
than five dollars for each and every squirrel so killed or
trapped for the first offense, and upon failure or refusal of the
party to pay said fine, he shall be committed to the county
jail for a period not exceeding ten days; and for each and
every offense after the first, such party shall be subject to a
fine of not less than five dollars and not more than ten dollars
for each squirrel so killed or trapped, and upon failure or
refusal to pay said fine he shall be committed to the county
jail for a period not exceeding twenty days. The right to
appeal to the Circuit Court, however, shall not be denied to
any person adjudged guilty.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 566.

Unlawful to
shoot or trap
squirrels
within certain
time.

Penalty.

AN ACT to give the assent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the bequest of Moses Koch in his last will and
testament to the Baltimore Bicken Cholin Hebrew Friend-
ship Congregation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the assent of the General Assembly of Maryland
be and the same is hereby given to the bequest to the Balti-
more Bicken Cholin Hebrew Friendship Congregation con-

tained in the last will of Moses Koch, dated October 1, 1895,
and recorded in the office of the Register of Wills of Balti-
more City in Wills Liber T. W. M., No. 75, folio 87, etc.
