to sell, barter, give away, or otherwise dispose of, directly or
indirectly, to any person under the age of twenty-one years
any spirituous or fermented liquor or lager beer, and any
person violating this section shall be deemed guilty of mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by
a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than two hun-
dred and fifty dollars for each offense, or by imprisonment in
the House of Correction for a term of not less than thirty
days nor more than six months, or both, in the discretion of
the Court, together with forfeiture of license from the date of
such conviction; and the juvenile appearance of any person
seeking to obtain such liquors or beer from any such dealer
shall in the construction of this law be sufficient to put the
vender of such liquor upon inquiry.

193D. And be it enacted, That any person under the age of
twenty-one years who shall by misrepresentations of false
statements as to his age obtain any spirituous or fermented
liquor or lager beer from any person, firm or body corporate
licensed to sell liquors under this Act, and any person who
shall obtain for a person under the age of twenty-one years
from such licensed dealer such liquors with knowledge that
the person for whom the same is obtained be a minor, shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor
more than fifty dollars and costs, or shall be confined in the
county jail not less than thirty nor more than sixty days, or
both, in the discretion of the court.

193E. And be it enacted, That if any person, firm, body cor-
porate or druggist shall, without having first obtained the
license provided for in Section 193 and 193A of this Article,
sell or otherwise barter or dispose of, directly or indirectly,
or take orders for the same to be delivered in the future,
within the limits of said district, on and after the first Mon-
day in May next, any spirituous or fermented liquors or
lager beer, or other compounds or beverages producing -
intoxication, he, she or they shall, upon conviction, be fined
not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars
for each offense, or be imprisoned in the House of Correction
for not less than three months nor more than six months, or
both, in the discretion of the court, and the person in posses-
sion of the premises, house or place at the time the violation
occurred shall be deemed prima facie guilty of a misdemeanor,
and on conviction thereof shall be subject to the same fines
and penalties as the actual violator.
