193F. And be it enacted, That the license provided for in
this Act shall bear date from the first Monday in May of each
year, and shall be valid until the first Monday in May of the
year succeeding the date thereof, unless sooner forfeited for
cause, and the Clerk shall in no manner take into account any
fractional part of a year in demanding the tax fixed for such
license, and all sums received by said Clerk under the provi-
sions of this Act, except the Clerk's fee, shall be paid over
by him, one-half to the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County for the use of said county, one-fourth thereof
to the Board of County School Commissioners for the use of
the public schools of said county, and the other fourth to the
State of Maryland for the use of the State; which payments
shall be made by said Clerk on the first Monday in July and
January of each year, and the bond of said Clerk shall be

AN ACT to incorporate the Chesapeake Insurance Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That James H. Baker, Azariah M. Kendall, Wilbur
Eliason, John D. Urie and L. Bates Russell, and the sub-
scribers to the stock of the corporation hereby created, and
their successors and assigns, be and they are hereby created a
body corporate by the name of the Chesapeake Insurance
Company, and by that name shall have perpetual succession,
and shall be competent to sue and be sued in any court of law
or equity whatsoever; to have and use a common seal and to
alter the same at its pleasure; and to make and adopt a con-
stitution and by-laws for the government of said body corpo-
