and 307 of Chapter three hundred and thirteen of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its Janu-
ary Session A. D. eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, and
to add two new sections to said Article 22, to be known as
Section 365A and Section 374A.

Smithsburg.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 364, 365, 367 and 374 of Article 22 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washing-
ton County," sub-title "Smithsburg;" the same being Sec-
tions 297, 298, 300 and 307 of Chapter three hundred and
thirteen of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January Session, A.D. eighteen hundred and
eighty-eight, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted as follows, and that two new sections, to be known as
Section 365A and Section 374A, be added to said Article 22.

Taxable limits
of said town.

Sec. 364. The taxable limits of the Town of Smithsburg
are hereby declared to be as follows: Beginning at a stone
planted on the western margin of the public road leading from
Smithsburg to Leitersburg, said stone being five and seventy-
six hundredths perches from the north corner of the stable
now standing on the lot belonging to Mrs. Edward Clark,
and running thence south seventy-six and one-half degrees;
east, one hundred and twenty-one perches, crossing the
Smithsburg and Waynesboro road at Thomas J. Ridenour's
stable; thence south twenty-six degrees; east, ninety-two
perches, crossing the Raven Rock road at a point thirty-
seven feet northeastwardly from the Shank's and Garde-
nour's corner-post on the southern margin of the road,
northeast of Shank's house, and crossing the Western
Maryland Railroad east of Towson's barn; thence south forty-
eight and three-fourths degrees; west, seventy-two and
eighty-eight hundredths perches, to a point in Dr. Bishop's
private road, three feet from its southern margin, and twenty-
four feet from the south gatepost standing at the entrance of
this road from the Smithsburg and Wolfsville road, near the
Smithsburg Public School Building; thence south sixty-nine
and one-half degress; west, one hundred and twenty-four
perches, to the southwest corner of a lot of ground belonging
to Charles Hiteshew; thence north forty-six and one-half
degrees; west, forty-eight and sixty-four hundredths perches,
to the middle of the Old Mill lane or road southeast of the
Western Maryland Railroad crossing; thence north twenty-
eight and three-fourth degrees; west, seventeen and six-tenth
perches, to the middle of the Hagerstown and Smithsburg
