CHAPTER 448.
AN ACT amendatory of an Act entitled an "Act to Incor-
porate a Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Cecil County,
passed January 30, 1846."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the managers of the Mutual Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Cecil Company shall have power and authority to
make insurance upon property in any of the counties of the
State of Maryland, and in any of the counties of the States of
Pennsylvania and Delaware, and that any and all citizens or
property-holders in any of the counties of the States of Mary-
land, Pennsylvania and Delaware who may obtain policies in
said company shall thereby become members thereof, and
entitled to all the privileges of members.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage

CHAPTER 449.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and assent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the acquiring, holding and dis-
posing of by deed, mortgage or otherwise by the German
Lutheran Evangelical Freidens Church of Baltimore City
of a certain lot of ground at the northwest corner of Madison
street and Duncan alley, in Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and is hereby given to the acquiring, holding
or disposing of by deed, mortgage or otherwise by the German
Lutheran Evangelical Freidens Church of Baltimore City, a
body corporate of the State of Maryland, a certain lot of
ground in Baltimore City, at the northwest corner of Madison
street and Duncan alley, fronting westerly on the north side
of Madison street forty-four feet, with a depth northerly of
seventy feet to a ten-foot alley.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
