9. The defendant in any action may at or before the trial court
have a rule on the plaintiff or plaintiffs to give security for the
payment of costs and charges which may be recovered against
him or them in such action if the plaintiff or plaintiffs, or any
such of them, is not a resident of this State at the time the
motion is made for such rule; provided, that such rule shall
be had only against a non-resident plaintiff or plaintiffs, or
against a resident plaintiff or plaintiffs, who is or are an
assignee or assignees of or stand in the place of a non-resident
plaintiff or plaintiffs. On such rule being laid, the plaintiff
or plaintiffs shall have until the second day of the next term
of the court to comply therewith , and on his or their failure
to do so he or they shall be non-suited.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 383.
AN ACT to repeal Section fifty-five of Article 16 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Montgomery County," sub-
title "Birds and Game," as re-enacted by Chapter three
hundred and seventy of the Acts of eighteen hundred and
ninety-two.

charges, etc.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section fifty-five of Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Montgomery County," sub-title "Birds
and Game," as re-enacted by Chapter three hundred and
seventy of the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-two, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:

game.

55. No person shall trap, shoot, or in any manner Catch,
kill or take any partridge or rabbit in Montgomery County,
between the 20th day of December and the 1st of November,
nor any woodcock between the 1st day of January and the 1st
day of July, nor any pheasant between the 1st day of January
and the the 1st day of September, nor any wild turkey between
the 1st day of February and the 1st day of November, nor any
gray squirrel between the 15th of December and the 1st day
of August.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage .
