LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester County," sub-
title "Wild Fowl," to read as follows:

Unlawful
to shoot or
kill by use of
flashlight,
within certain
limits.

Sec. 335. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
shoot or kill any wild ducks, geese, brant or swan between 7
o'clock P.M. and 5 o'clock A.M. from any boat or vessel with
any gun of any size, by use of a flashlight, or any kind of a
light, within one mile of the shore line of Middle and Lower
Hooper's Island, Dorchester County.

Unlawful
to catch or kill
by use of
nets, etc.,
within certain
limits.

Sec. 336. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
catch or kill at any time, by use of nets or other similar
devices, any ducks, geese, brant or swan within one mile from
the shore line of Middle and Lower Hooper's Island, Dor-
chester County.

Unlawful to
shoot or kill
on certain
days within
certain space.

Sec. 337. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
shoot or kill any wild ducks, geese, brant or swan on Tries-
days, Thursdays and Saturdays within one mile of Middle
and Lower Hooper's Island.

Fines and costs
for violation.

Sec. 338. Any person or persons violating the provisions
of Sections 335, 336 and 337 of this Act, shall, upon conviction
thereof before any justice of the peace of said county, forfeit
and pay the. sum of twenty-five dollars and costs, and the
money arising from said sale and fines, after deduction of legal
costs of the justice or other tribunal before whom said offender
or offenders shall be convicted, shall be divided and paid, one-
half into the free school treasury of Dorchester County for the
use of said school, and the other half to the person or persons
prosecuting said offenders and securing their conviction; pro-
vided, nothing herein contained shall prevent any person or

persons who may be aggrieved by the decision of the justice
of the peace before whom said person or persons might appear,
on the charge of violating either of the two of the aforesaid
section, from appealing from the judgment of the said justice
to the Circuit Court of Dorchester County, if such appeals
are taken and satisfactory bond filed for prosecuting said
appeal.

Unlawful for
non residents
to hunt with-
out consent
of owner.

Sec. 339. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons
not a bona fide resident or taxpayer of Dorchester County to
shoot or kill any wild ducks, geese, brant or swan in the
waters of this county within one mile of the shore line of
middle and lower Hooper's Island without having obtained
permission of the owner or owners of the land bordering on
the waters where said person or persons desire to shoot. Any
person not a taxpayer or bona fide resident convicted by any
justice of the peace of the said county for shooting or killing
