364 A. No person shall kill or shoot at wild water fowl in,
on or over the waters mentioned in Section three hundred and
sixty-one from any boat, box or vessel of any kind or descrip-
tion whatever, with any big or swivel gun, or any kind of a
gun, which cannot be conveniently discharged from the
shoulder at arms' length, and without a rest; nor shall any
person have in his or their possession on said waters, men-
tioned in said Section three hundred and sixty -one, any sneak
boat or big or swivel gun, or any kind of gun, which cannot
conveniently be discharged from the shoulder at arms' length,
and without a rest; and the possession of any such gun or

boat on said waters is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor, and
any person violating this section on conviction thereof before
a justice of the peace of Cecil County shall forfeit said gun
and boat and pay a fine of not less than one hundred dollars,
nor more than five hundred dollars, for each offense, and shall
stand committed to the county jail until such fine and cost of
the prosecution shall be paid.

365. That Joseph Clay, of Cecil County, be and he is
hereby appointed a special policeman for said rivers in Cecil
County, and shall hold his office for two years from the first
day of May, in the year nineteen hundred, and until his suc-
cessor qualifies, and every two years thereafter the Governor,

said Clerk, in the penalty of five hundred dollars, conditioned

Sections three hundred and sixty-one to three hundred and
seventy, inclusive, and he shall have power to enter upon and
search any boat or vessel of any description in the waters of
said rivers whenever he may suspect there is carried any
gun or guns of the character or description prohibited
