new bridges, the opening of new roads, and the repairs and

The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County
shall pay over to the said County Road Commissioners the
money received from liquor licenses under Section two hun-
hundred and fifty-two of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, to be used as hereinafter directed, the Board of
County Road Commissioners shall deposit all funds under its-
control in some safe National Bank, subject to its check when
signed by all of its members.

287. The Board of County Road Commissioners shall as
soon as possible apportion three-fourths of the fund levied for
the annual repairs of roads and bridges among the road dis-
tricts in such proportion as it may think right, regard being
had to the extent and condition of the roads of each district,
and the size of the fund available. The remaining fourth shall
be used to pay the proper authorities of each incorporated
town in the county the part of said fund realized from prop-
erty within the limits of their respective towns , and the balance
thereof shall be expended by said board upon said roads after
the payment of the per diem of said Commissioners, and the
legitimate expenses of said board.

288. The Board of County Road Commissioners shall use
the fund received from liquor licenses in the construction of
permanent highways, beginning at the line of the District of
Columbia, and the end of some highway therein, and building
out into the county upon existing public roads, continuing
the same from year to year, as funds may be available, said
work shall be done under the direction of the Geological
Survey Commission Division of Highways of the State of
Maryland, if the same be in existence.

Detailed
report to

289. The Board of County Road Commissioners shall on or
before the first day of December in every year make a detailed
report to the Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County of the work done upon the public roads and
bridges of the county for the preceding twelve months, as well
as their receipts and disbursements in the premises.

290. The Board of County Road Commissioners shall not
authorize any work or contract any debt save where the
money is in hand, or an appropriation therefor has been made
