amendment said corporate name was changed to Mt. St.
Joseph's College of Baltimore County, and which is also
on record in the clerk's office of said court of date June 9,
1881, and recorded in Liber J. B., No. i, folio 297, etc.,
one of the incorporation records of Baltimore County;
WHEREAS, Mt. St. Joseph's College of Baltimore County,
incorporated tinder the general provisions of the 26th Article
of the Code in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, under
the corporate name of St. Joseph's College of Baltimore
County, on the 6th day of October, 1876, and recorded in the
office of the clerk of said court in Liber J. B., No. 1, folio
130, etc., one of the incorporation records; and,
WHEREAS, By an amended incorporation under the general
provisions of the Code, by the said Circuit Court for Balti-
more County, on the gth day of June, 1881, and recorded in
the office of the said clerk of said court, in Liber J. B., No.
1, folio 297, etc., one of the incorporation records, the corpo-
rate name was changed from St. Joseph's College of Balti-
more County to Mt. St. Joseph's College of Baltimore County;
and,
WHEREAS, The said Mt. St. Joseph's College of Baltimore
County have petitioned this General Assembly of Maryland
for an enlargement and confirmation of the powers and
authority of said corporation under the general laws afore-
said, and the aforesaid Act of incorporation, an amended Act
of incorporation, and it appearing to the said General Assem-
bly that the objects of said corporation cannot be attained
under the general laws aforesaid; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John B. Vander Wee, Michael P. Sullivan, Pat-
rick O'Connell and Peter Scauban, of Baltimore County, State
of Maryland; John G. Ridder, of Baltimore City and said
State of Maryland; John Griffin, of the City of Richmond, in
the State of Virginia, and Adolph Sommer, of the City of
Louisville, in the State of Kentucky, and such other persons
as they may elect as their associates and successors from the
brotherhood known as the Xaverian Brotherhood of the
Roman Catholic Church, be and they are hereby made and
constituted a body corporate by the name and style of Mt. St.
Joseph's College of Baltimore County, for the objects and
with the powers and authority set forth in the original Act of
Incorporation, and the amendment thereto hereinbefore
referred to, and particularly for the purpose of the instruction
