per cent, shall be made; on all taxes paid during the month
of August, a discount of one-half of one per cent, shall be
made, and upon all taxes paid during the month of Septem-
ber the amount thereof, without discount or interest, shall be
required; but, upon all bills remaining unpaid after that time
interest shall be charged and collected from the date when
they shall have been due and payable.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 236.
AN Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, paragraph
third of Section sixty-one of Chapter one hundred and
thirty-six of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the session of eighteen hundred and ninety-
six, entitled "An Act to repeal from Section sixty to
seventy-seven, both inclusive, of Article 23, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland," title "Wicomico County,"
sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," and to repeal
Sections sixty-one, sixty-nine and seventy-four of said
Article as amended by Chapter six hundred and sixty-
seven of the General Assembly of Maryland, eighteen
hundred and ninety-two."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That paragraph third of Section sixty-one of Chapter
one hundred and thirty-six, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of eighteen hundred and ninety-six, entitled "An Act to
repeal from Section sixty to Section seventy-seven, both
inclusive, of Article 23, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland," title "Wicomico County," sub-title "Liquors
and Intoxicating Drinks," and to repeal Sections sixty-one,
sixty-nine and seventy-four of said Article as amended by
Chapter six hundred and sixty-seven, of the General Assem-
bly of eighteen hundred and ninety two, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Third. At the time of filing the said application and certifi-
cate, the applicant shall also deposit with the Clerk to the
County Commissioners the sum of two hundred dollars for
a license to sell any such liquors in quantities of four and
seven-eighth gallons or less, or if he desires to sell such
liquors in any greater quantities than four and seven-eighth
