gallons at a time, he shall take out an additional license after
complying with the same requirements as are necessary for a
retail license, in the school district in which such wholesale
business is to be conducted, and for such license he shall
deposit with the clerk the sum of two hundred dollars for a
license to sell such liquors in quantities greater than four and
seven-eighth gallons, and the said sum shall be paid for a license
for a whole year, and in proportion for any part of a year, and
upon the issuing of the license, the clerk shall pay over said sum
so deposited with him to the Board of County School Com-
missioners, for the use of the public schools of said county;
and the applicant shall pay to the clerk, as his fee, the further
sum of one dollar, and in case of contest he shall pay him two
dollars; provided, that it shall be unlawful for any such
licensed dealer to sell ale or beer when drawn from the keg or

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the first day of May, 1900.

CHAPTER 237.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
twenty -five of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "St. Mary's County," under the new sub-title "County
Treasurer," and to add certain new sections to said Article.

Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section twenty -five of Article 19 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "St. Mary's County," under the
new sub-title "County Treasurer," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, and certain new
sections be and the same are hereby added to said Article to
follow said section twenty-five, to be designated as Sec-
tions 25, 25A, 25B, 25C, 25D.

Election.
Term of office.

25. At the general election held on the first Tuesday after
the first Monday in November every second year, accounting
from the year nineteen hundred and one, there shall be
elected a county treasurer for St. Mary's County by the
qualified voters of said county, who shall hold his office for
