CHAPTER 207.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 21 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Conveyancing,"
to follow Section eighty-five, and to be designated as Sec-
tion 85A.

SECTION 1. De it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 21 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Con-
veyancing," to follow Section eighty-five, and to be desig-
nated as Section 85 A, and to read as follows:

Conveyancing.

85A. All rents reserved by leases or sub-leases of land
hereafter made in this State for a longer period than fifteen
years shall be redeemable at any time after expiration of five
years from date of such lease or sub-leases, at the option of
the tenant, after a notice of one month to the landlord for a
sum of money equal to the capitalization of the rent reserved
at a rate not exceeding six per centum.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 208.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 232, 233 and 234, of Article 4, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title "Miscellaneous Local Laws," as enacted by
Chapter one hundred and twenty-three of the Acts of
eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 232, 233 and 234, of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Miscellaneous Local Laws," as re-enacted by Chapter one
hundred and twenty-three of the Acts of eighteen hundred
and ninety-eight, be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
