The Commis-
sioners of Del-
mar. A body
corporate.

21. The inhabitants of Delmar, in Wicomico County, are
hereby made and declared a body corporated by the name of
"The Commissioners of Delmar," and by that name shall
have perpetual succession, may sue and be sued, use a com-
mon seal, and possess such powers, privileges and incidents
as may attend by law to a municipal corporation; may pur-
chase and hold real, personal and mixed property, and dispose
of the same for the benefit of the town.

Corporate
limits.

22. The taxable and corporate limits of said town shall be
as follows: Beginning at a point where the New York,
Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad intersects the line dividing;
the State of Maryland from the State of Delaware; thence
running easterly by and with said line two thousand five
hundred and ten (2,510) feet; thence south, one (i) degree
west, seven hundred and eighty-two (782) feet; thence north,
eighty-five (85) degrees and fifteen (15) minutes west, two
thousand six hundred and nineteen (2,619) feet to the said rail-
road; thence south, nine (9) degrees and fifteen (15) minutes
west, one hundred and fifty-five (155) feet; thence north,
eighty-five (85) degrees and fifteen (15) minutes west, nine
hundred and fifty-three (953) feet; thence north, nine (9)
degrees and fifteen (15) minutes west, nine hundred and fifty-
three (953) feet; thence north, nine (9) degrees and fifteen
(15) minutes east, one thousand and fifty-three (1,053) feet
intersect the said State line; thence by and with the same
nine hundred and forty -seven (947) feet to the first beginning.

Government

of town.

23. The government of said town shall be vested in three
commissioners, to be elected as hereinafter provided, who
shall be taxpayers and qualified voters of said town twelve
months next preceding their election, and their term of office
shall be two years, or until their successors are elected and
qualified.

Shall elect
Commis'rs.

24. The male citizens of Delmar who have resided within
the corporate limits of said town six months preceding the
election, and who were qualified voters at the last preceding
State or Congressional election, shall, on the second Tuesday
in April, nineteen hundred, elect three persons to be Com-
missioners of said town , and on the same day every two years
thereafter elect by ballot three persons as Commissioners, and
the service of said Commissioners shall be gratuitous and
without pay.
